O for “Pet” Sake and their Owners

Does anything surprise you, or leave you scratching your head. For California Pet Owners, owning a pet will get very expense, and jobs will disappear  if this Senate Bill 697 Passes April 25, 2011.

In part I like my Veterinarian, she is kind, quiet and a wonderful resource for the large and small animals on the property. Many a time an animal has required a farm visit and with the outcome of having to commence with some type of post care procedures. That over the years have included daily injections of penicillin or crushing pills, flushing and dressing a wound. The materials and information provided by the veterinarian.

Your local feed store supplies general health preventions supplies, de-wormers for cats, dogs, horses. I know several goat and sheep farms in my community, they administer annual shots, when lambing seasoning arrives the young males are band and so are the tails. There is no sense in having your veterinarian come out to tend to a flock of sheep or goats, let alone a horse farm, or rescue program for animals at such a great expense.

Here is another “what are you kidding me, dog groomers”. Your dog needs a good bath and the toes nails get trimmed. Well, if this bill passes the groomers is out of business. That $25.00 doggy bath and clip with toes, will now cost you a Vet visit at around $50, plus the cost of toes nail trim. YUP!

Own a horse? or a rescue program for horses…. well a farrier trims and shoes hooves, the farrier is a graduate of a farrier school. The knowledge and information for corrective shoeing for a horse with hoof problem are very helpful. My farrier and veterinarian have worked together, in most cases: Vet does the x-rays in sever cases, and relies on the farrier to  maintain the hoof. In all the Farrier because he visit with the horse about every 8 weeks will know if there a proplem.

Equine Dentist, yes your veterarian can float your horses teeth. However, how about a specialist?

I ask my readers to share this information and stop this bill from passing.

I for one do not agrees with this statement. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
